Eroica Side by Side – Join Us!

Are you a young musician curious about historically informed performance and eager to explore the Classical and early Romantic repertoire on historical instruments?

Podium Auxesis warmly invites you to apply for participating in our Eroica Side by Side project.

You will work closely with our tutors in a chamber music setting, diving into the use of classical and early Romantic expressive tools. Together, we will perform two concerts as part of the final weekend of this season's concert series in Groningen and Warffum.

Dates

Rehearsals: 12-15 May 2026
(a pre-rehearsal for strings in Utrecht may be scheduled)

Concerts: 16 & 17 May 2026

Setup

Winds: original or modern copies of historical instruments
Strings: gut strings and Classical or early Romantic bows (where possible)
Pitch: A = 430 Hz

What We Provide

To make participation accessible, Podium Auxesis will cover travel expenses, accommodation, and a per diem during the project.

How to Apply

Your CV
A link to a video of up to 5 minutes, performing any Classical or early Romantic piece, accompanied or unaccompanied.

A historical setup is not required for the audition video, but will be necessary for the project itself.
